Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. GENERAL REQUIREMENT

As a basic requirement, all manuscript submitted to Jurnal Pembangunan Kota Medan must be original work, which has never been published previously and is submitted exclusively to Jurnal Pembangunan Kota Medan.

The submitted manuscript should be addressed to Editor-in-chief of Jurnal Pembangunan Kota Medan. Manuscript must be submitted through online submission by registered users. You can easily register in the journal system.

2. MANUSCRIPT TYPES

2.1 Regular article

Full-length original empirical investigations, consisting of introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions. Original work must provide references and an explanation on research findings that contain new and significant findings. The text should not exceed 7000 words or 8-12 printed pages (including the abstract, references, tables and/or figures) and a list of minimum 15 references primarily from international journal or national journal indexed by Scopus or Web of Science or Sinta.

 

2.2 Review article

Critical evaluation of materials about current research that had already been published by organizing, integrating, and evaluating previously published materials. Re-analyses as meta-analysis and systemic reviews are encouraged. Review articles should aim to provide systemic overviews, evaluations and interpretations of research in a given field. Typically, the text should not exceed 5000 words or 8-10 printed pages
